White vinegar: the hero for stubborn stains

When the grease has been embedded for several days ( or even several weeks ), you need to bring out plan B: white vinegar.

  1. Place your  plates  in a container ( or a large basin );
  2. Cover with hot white vinegar, add  coarse salt , then sprinkle with baking soda;
  3. Leave to stand for a few hours ( or overnight if necessary );
  4. A good swipe with an abrasive sponge or  old toothbrush , and the stains disappear  almost effortlessly .

Little bonus: vinegar also neutralizes bad odors.  Double win!
