We all do it, but it’s best to avoid hanging out the laundry in the evening: find out why!

In the evening, when calm finally returns to the house, a small action discreetly creeps into our daily routine: hanging out the laundry. Quick, practical, economical… at first glance. However, this well-established reflex can turn out to be the weak link in our domestic organization. We think we’re saving time, but in return, we risk losing comfort, freshness, and even damaging our clothes in the long run. This is why this seemingly innocuous moment is not the most opportune.

After a day’s work, many people prefer to dry their laundry in the evening. It makes sense: the washing machine was running during off-peak hours (more profitable), the house is quiet, and everything suggests that this task can be carried out without stress. However, behind this apparent simplicity lies an often-overlooked drawback. As soon as night falls, drying conditions are no longer optimal: the air becomes more humid, the temperature drops, and, above all, natural light disappears.
