The Lake House Sanctuary: How I Protected My Mother’s Legacy from Betrayal

I always thought the lake house was my sanctuary — a place untouched since my mom passed away. But on a quiet anniversary meant to honor her memory, I drove up to an unexpected and painful scene:

When my mother passed, she left me her most treasured possession: a peaceful lake house she had built as a refuge. I kept it just as she had left it, visiting only to feel close to her memory.
