The orchid is a perennial flowering plant appreciated for its spectacular flowering and colorful flowers, which are used to decorate interior spaces. There are several varieties of orchids. Some are very common, such as the phalaenopsis orchid, also known as the butterfly orchid. Although this plant is easy to grow, it needs certain specific conditions to flourish. That said, figure out where you need to place your orchid to encourage it to bloom.
Where should an orchid be placed to promote its flowering?
To install your orchid in the right place, you have to take into account two parameters: light and humidity.
- Choose a bright spot for the orchid.
The orchid is a flowering plant that likes light. That said, avoid placing your plant in a dark place. This will prevent your orchid from blooming. Also avoid keeping your plant in an area exposed to drafts, such as near the front door. These openings can cool your orchid, which also cannot withstand sudden changes in temperature. Even regularly ventilated rooms should be avoided. The orchid appreciates warm places and appreciates a temperature between 20°C and 30°C in the morning, and between 18°C and 25°C at night. This flowering plant certainly appreciates light, but it should not be exposed to direct sunlight, which risks burning its foliage. You can place your orchid in a room with walls painted white that allow light to be reflected. When you install your pot, make sure that the flowers do not touch the glass or the wall. The flowers should not even be in contact with the foliage of other plants. This will make your plant bloom longer. Also avoid turning the pot, to keep the flowers in the same orientation that allows them to receive light.
