Airport staff reveal the fastest and easy way to pick up their luggage right away

You get off the plane after a long flight, in a hurry to reach your destination, but here… the treadmill is running, the suitcases are chaining together, and yours still seems to be absent. Why do some passengers pick up their luggage almost immediately when others have to wait a long time?
Baggage baggers and airport agents know the backstage of the luggage delivery process and reveal some simple tricks to reduce your waiting time.

Tip 1: check in your luggage last (but not late)

The problem:

The earlier the luggage is loaded into the hold, the more likely it is to be buried under a stack of other suitcases and thus unloaded last.

The solution:

If you register your suitcase towards the end of the registration period, it will be loaded last… and therefore unloaded among the first ones on arrival.

  • Arrive at the airport on time, but wait before dropping off your luggage.
  • Be careful not to exceed the registration time, the risk of your suitcase leaving on another flight.

Tip 2: Ask for a “Fragile” label

The problem:

Some luggage is more harassed than others and often ends up under the battery.

The solution:

A “Fragile” label encourages staff to handle your luggage carefully. It will usually be placed above the others, which increases the chances that it will be discharged first.

  • Ask for a “Fragile” label politely at the check-in counter.
  • Even if your background is not fragile, this little trick can save you time.

Tip 3: Focus on direct flights
