Why you should never get rid of a tick in the toilet

We’re thinking about doing it. We remove a tick carefully, then, without thinking about it, we throw it into the toilet. Click, flush. Problem solved? Not really. Behind this abode gesture is a danger far more sneaky than one thinks. And he could come back… biting you. Literally.

Why are ticks so dangerous?

Ticks are tiny parasites, but capable of transmitting serious infections, such as Lyme disease. By feeding on the blood of their host, they can inject bacteria or viruses into the body, both in humans and animals.

A dog, a cat or even yourself can become their target after a simple walk in the forest. And unlike mosquitoes, they hang on, sometimes for days.
